Beautiful boots Steve. I have been trying to acquire some Luftwaffe flight jackets and Kanalhosen by trading away some nice things but nothing ever materialized, or else I'd show them here. Flight gear and equipment is one of my favorite areas and is very underappreciated.

These are among the finest boots I have ever seen and I have been collecting Luftwaffe for a LONG time.

Great pair of flight boots you have there. I belive this typ of boots were made in Croatia. I have seen a pair that had a maker stamp on the soles, any stamps on your pair?

          No stamps, no tags.

BTW: The following pair was recently sold over ebay - the second pair of this kind I have ever seen:

Obviously the same maker, but heavily worn.

Copyright of course by the ebay seller, I hope he has nothing against showing the pics as the auction has already ended.

              Very nice pair..
These boots are made by Knebl & Ditrich, Croatia..

I've both the blue/grey and a brown pair..
The brown pair are unworn and have the complete text on the soles.
I've also spotted a flight jacket by this maker in a book.

              Jos.

Thanks a lot, Jos! Now I have seen three pairs of the grey kind in my life ...

I owned the boots for one and a half year now and wondered all the time about their origin. Of cause, I noticed Your brown pair as You posted them some time ago in this forum. But there were only the pics, no hints of the maker, if I remember right.

Those are some fabulous boots, guys! I especially like those spiffy brown ones, Jos.

Here's an interesting Dreieckrechner I recently got (top). 1942 manufacture. The interesting part is that somebody glued an enhanced paper scale to the center of one side. The paper is printed, not hand drawn, so it must have been made for this purpose and I suppose there are others out there like this. Anybody seen this done before? I have no idea when the paper was added, but it looks to be quite old by all appearances.

                                Regards,
                                Kevin
