        What when why how?

When pilots were not flying on a particular day, or their duties did not include flying (logistics, planning, etc.) what uniform did they wear? Flying kit, or regular uniform?

Also, does anyone have a reference for the proper placement of Luftwaffe awards and badges on the uniform?
