In what way are the big NSKK insignia attached to the crashhelmets?

Do they have big screw-posts that pierce through the helmet bowl? or are they attached to the bump-pads?

That's a good one, unfortunately without the "double" prongs (broken).

So the second pattern was pierced through the helmet bowl and attached with double prongs.

Was this the same then for the first pattern eagle?
