IMO the "K" collar patch don't means "Kontrolle" but dating of a short period (1934-35) with "K-units" and "M-units".
I have never seen these insignias on M1936 NSKK Mantel but on SA type great coat.
            Cheers

Thanks I was thinking that also... but because Bender's NSKK book explains it as Kontrolle (with a picture of an NSKK man with "K" tabs at a sporting event) I thought maybe that's plausible, but why bother with collar tabs for a temporary event you may wonder. Armbands are for that!
So I agree! (BTW tabs were added)
              Thanks
              Nick

The cloth eagle on this kepi, is the rarely seen type with the head turning to the right.
They've only produced this "type of cloth eagle" for a couple of months, until they decided that every eagle should look to the left.

TWO OUTSTANDING EXAMPLES OF RARE N S K K TRANSPORT GRUPPE VISOR HATS. MANY YEARS AGO, I OWNED ONE IDENTICAL TO YOUR MODEL WITH THE HEER STYLE WREATH. THE CAP WAS SHAPED DIFFERENTLY SO I DOUBT THEY ARE THE SAME. THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH WONDERFUL ITEMS.

                        Many thanks, Bob!

I've been very lucky over the years.

There is a giant void, in my collection, where NSKK headgesr should be. I have only been able to find some rare hat insignia.

I want to thank everyone for showing their wonderful pieces. I have learned a great deal from this thread.

                                NSKK caps

Gents, This is a great thread - some really rare hats. Thanks for sharing. I will ad my 2 caps worth. The first I bewlieve is an NSKK Officer. What is unusual is the silver piping after it tucks into the back of the cap runs for another six inches inside the flap - and then it is sewn down? instead of simply cut even where it dives into the hat. Also, inside the right rear flap is a beautiful party eagle stamped in white ink. It is not visible unless you ease open the flap to look in. I hope the photo show it well. Wish me luck with the pics. Rich Click on photo for larger image
