Hello,
have recently acquired an nskk visor with olive body, brown cap band and brown piping on crown. Interior is brown/olive-brown twill. Clear plastic sweat-diamond imprinted in gold "uniform-mutzen werk posen" with 3-line black ink stamp: "ubernommen bw-nskk posen". Black and silver flat-woven wire nskk eagle on olive backing. Sweatband and underside of visor are as the hat in post #243 below except the sweatband has perforations in the forehead area. Unfortunately i obtained the hat before finding this thread. So, i have this question; has there been any definitive decision reached regarding the authenticity of this maker and the hats that bear this imprint?
Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

Jon, do you have any photos of your hat?

No, am not a paying member yet and cannot post photos. The construction is identical to the nskk-luft in this thread with the exception of the color of the body of the hat and the chinstrap has only two retangular frame buckles with a plated rivet in front of the left buckle. The color of sweatband and underside of the visor is identical to that shown in post nr.243 and sweat diamond is identical to that in post nr. 244 (including same size designation).

in the regulations how to position. With both caps the insignia is positioned not
correctly! Possibly some homework from some collector who did not understand
facts and regulations! Get yourself volume 4 from the series "Headgear of
Hitler's Germany". The subject is dealt with with the pages 316 through 340.
Many photos do show how it should be.
I could eventually explain where you can find it ub actual and old regulations, but
I won't. No time to look for that, but it is somewhere in my regulations.Last edited by wilhelm Saris; 01-02-2019, 02:11 PM.

when we look at photos or videos of time we can see that often the rules did not always exist !, many rules were dictated after the war by the collectors themselves! This cap is totally original and has never been retouched! He was the property of B. Coleman himself!
nor has there ever been a planetree panzer SS wrap either; and yet ......
I think this one is still badly stitched!
