    I didn't get a look at the second book mate.Only saw the first one that I helped you with. Didn't even know of the second one till now.
    As for Runic I do not think the rant was aimed at you .We all get angry and frustrated at times .These are easy places to let it off at someone.
    It doesn't make it right though.I am sure he will be feeling sorry for it.

      Pete is right, my rant wasn’t aimed at you. I had a bad day and went off on you. Thank you for accepting my apology on PM, and let me say publicly that I do feel sorry. And, this thread would not be the same without you. You have posted some great photos and thought-provoking ideas. You obviously have a a great passion for the German Eagle Order and it is appreciated by all of us.

      Also - your response to me was correct - I totally misunderstood your post. Your comment about the huevos was very funny.

      So please accept another mea culpa from a fellow collector who highly values your opinions and expertise.

        Does anyone think an in-depth comparison of the different Eagles on, for starters, all of the different DAOs of the Second Class, would be useful to the forum?
        I predict - I’ll keep these to myself, from lack of interest.: ) probably only yawns out there.
        But this info will come in Damned handy as I build my collection of Eagle Orders.

          Christopher was kind enough to share these diagrams with me.
          This is some of the work he has been doing on comparing the eagles on the different grades of the Eagle Order.
          I don’t have anywhere near the expertise on this award that some of you do on this thread. But I’m sure you will agree with me that a lot of effort and experience went into making these diagrams.
          I hope they are as helpful to other collectors as they are to me.

            Thanks for the contribution A shot of the reverse in conjunction with these obverse images would be very helpful for the not so advanced collectors though.

                I do not have a copy of the second class, second design attributed to deschler but I have many images of all known models. When I have time I will post images of the back of all models as indicated by our friend Peter

                By the way...5 pages and we still have not deserved a "pinned"?
