Do you have a shot of the cross-section from the cut piece?

Congrats, Jon! Two beautiful pieces...and an interesting addition to your Hospital...must be at least a second cousin to the GPBs resident there!!

            Happy Easter, my friend,

Got this informal fork arrive today, never seen one so dainty, was advertised as a cake fork but I was thinking more of a pickle fork?
What do you guys think of its original place setting serving position?

Nice, Jon. I'm not sure what it is, but the formal pattern pickle forks have just two prongs so it's not one of those.

                          Nice piece. Desert fork?

I have to say... I really like the simple clean look of the "informal" set. Nice score. The informal pieces are next on my list.

Congrats, Jon -- a beautiful piece! As you know, I have an affinity for the Informal Pattern AH silverware and I have owned an example of this same fork for quite a few years...in fact, it was the very first AH piece I purchased. I classify it as a Dessert Fork.

                            Congrats again, my friend,

Here is a Informal Pattern Demitasse Size Knife , Fork, Spoon Fork is the same size as Jon's at the same 5 1/2 inches .. I guess these all could have been used for different needs.

I wonder what these mini-silverware pieces were made for--a demitasse doesn't require a knife or fork. I wonder if these were for visiting children to use?
