Many thanks, Coltsnsox07; it's good to see those pix again! If memory serves, they come from a "Life Magazine" photo-essay on color photography in Nazi Germany, published back in the late 1950s or very early 1960s. I used to have a copy of that issue in my collection... Color photos such as these bring full life to our hobby, for they remind us that these things were worn and used by real, live people and not just by stiff caricatures seen in lifeless black-and-white images.

Nice to see that AH actually used one of his AH-monogrammed dekels (drink coasters); here's the proof!

      Cheers, and thanks again,

      Br. James

It looks just like the AH drink coaster that I have in my collection.

Don't see those very often. Any history with this piece?

Nice, I used to have a set of 6 of these lobster picks so they are out there...

I saw VERY little for sale. Only about 5 formal silverware examples and x1 informal napkin.

Did see a few trays and x1 RK tray. Same ones from last 8 shows:boredlaugh:

It is some time I don't post something in this thread.
So here a "family" group of AH silver cutlery on an AH tray.

Very nice, Antonio. I have never seen a serving spoon in that pattern before.

                            Thanks!

This is IMO the most rare to find pattern (along with the one with the hand tooled monogram "AH" posted here: click!)
                            Both are hand engraved.

I post some close ups of the serving spoon.

These pieces are most likely from one of the many silver service gifts given to Hitler. They are very nice and ornate but most collectors prefer the standard formal and informal silver services.
