I certainly agree! What a delicate and elegant pattern! Not sure of the maker, though it was definitely one of the 19th century German silversmith firms. We'll never know how many different sets of silverware were given to Hitler, or to any of the other bigwigs, but it was surely LOTS!

These are part of a larger grouping I got in Santa Monica, CA back in the 1980's. It included a coffee and tea service, assorted trays, gravy boat, wine coasters, a table cloth, assorted napkins, and a scrapbook with photos and newspaper clippings from the GI who liberated it.
I auctioned most of it off through Klenau/Hermann in Munich. According to the auction house, the Porsche family got the tea and coffee service.
I still have the fork, a couple of knives, a wine coaster, the gravy boat and a couple of trays.
One of the coolest pieces I saw that Shea had was a lemon squeezer...
