I had the opportunity to inspect the Mahnmal desk ornament first hand in person at HH. It is affixed to a very large marble desk set and the whole lot comes with a set of books and other items. In my opinion, not what im really looking for and i'll most probably pass for this. The whole thing weighs a ton and i think shipping alone would kill me.

the starting bid is 1500 Euros. Adding commission and shipping, i think the starting bid is nearly 1800 Euros. Not worth it in my opinion. I only want a simple desk Mahnmal and not the full marble set. Very Massive and Heavy! Shipping will kill the cost - and dont forget the books and the ink wells which are also included.
