Wow! That's a really great photo of your father!

You have to love that visor cap. Notice that he has a Panzer collar tab skull mounted in place of the cockade al'la Waffen-SS, and the piping appears to be very dark... red perhaps??? Maybe even black? It definitely doesn't match the pink piping on his wrap.

Here's a panzerman with his wife. I'd like the back translated if possible. I can make out the date as May 13, 1944, but can't make out the rest.

Hey Chris,

Thanks so much for the translations. I've never heard of the names Loffi or Tonschi. Were they shortened versions of other names do you suppose?

You know, I could be way off on the names to tell you the truth, that was the best I could come up with. Ive heard Loffi before, but Tonschi is a new one on me
