Interesting is that he also wears a Infantery Assault Badge.
It would be really great if you could scan this photo and enlarge the section with the guy in the panzer wrap. Looks to be a very interesting wrap.

yes it does. He is also wearing a camo cap too. Would love to see the tabs in particular.

Are there any paper(maker) stamps on the reverse of that photo? J/w for personal interest

Alex, that is an excellent portrait!! Thanks for sharing these. Cool to see that you have him in a black wrap too.
What do his shoulderboards read on the black wrap photos? It would be interesting to know his unit

On his boards there is a 16 written. I also have his Romanian Soldbuch, and that shows that he was a trained Panzer Commander (on the Romanian R2), and the book was closed when he volunteered for the German Army.

Just awesome, so he was from "Windhund" division most likely. You are lucky to have such an interesting grouping, especially with soldbucher. Did he survive the war do you know? Romanians are a people which I think deserve alot more notoriaty for wwII.
You can see that they made him shave his goatee when he joined the Wehrmacht
