Thanks John, I always wonder about the individuals in the photos I collect. This is Caen in the quit before the storm.

Here is a photo of a battle field grave site in Witebsk, Welish, USSR in 1942. Buried here are soldiers of 2 Kp. Inf. Btl. 550. The Penal Batalion. The grave on the left, Schtz. KARL HOFBAUER is my uncle.
