Notice how "sh*t shine" sharp those troopers maintain their bearing and appearance. Even as gefangenen you could'nt distinguish the difference. Impressive.

thats the thing, many north ameicans come from european families of course.
German, french, english, irish etc.... and so a lot of the time, take those old medals away and you dont have a clue if they are german or US.

Besides the medals...only one POW is wearing anything German issue...i.e., the man on your left wearing a Army issue shirt. otherwise they are wearing US Khaki trousers, shirts and belts.
