Here is new POW in the USA portrait photo. Quite interesting in that he appears to be wearing an Army Tunic w/Army belt buckle but wearing a faded Luftwaffe tropical cap.Attached Files

Karl-Heinz,
It appears by what he is wearing that he is a prisoner as the number and patch indicate that he is.....but a prisoner of who? He seems to be well fed and well clothed so I'm ruling out that he was a KZ prisoner based on the date indicated. Could be a Politcal prisoner of the allies awaiting trial after the war.
Here is a pic of some German POW's who haven't been treated that well by Partisans in Pincenza, Italy in 1945.

POW in Canada
Hi,
I recently found this interesting photo showing six Luftwaffe officers supposedly captured by Canadian troops, three of them Hauptmanns the others Oberleutnants. Two of them wear Flugzeugführer badges and one of them a cuff title "Jagdgeschwader Udet".
Any help identifying these guys?
regards
