Marvelous, I would encourage this dedicated as a pinned thread!

Thanks once again for your generosity and taking the time to share your collection.

      Your very kind Ray.
Actually I never even thought of getting this tread as a sticky.. not a bad idea.

Im also very happy to share more and more of my collection.
Thankfully with the massive help of two of my best friends... we are scanning my monster slide collection and discovering historical treasures every day... eventually in the next few years.. the entire collection will be available on my pixpast site.

Maybe if my friends and I really push ourselves into this project, that we might be able to make our hobby our job some day.... fingers crossed

I just received a little packet of 6 color slides taken by an american GI in Austria and southern germany in 1945.
Two of the color slides (funnily enough taken in wartime german agfacolor film) show the famous Austrian Cardinal Innitzer.
Cardinal Innitzer was famous for first supporting the german occupation of Austria and then later under pressure from the Vatican moving away from this political stand point.
        A very interesting story.

Two color slides showing Innitzer in a horse wagon beside americans in a willys jeep.. not sure yet which village this is in Austria ?

          good mornings guys.

So the new Vienna Austria Kasserne color slide collection came in.
Here are the first scans out of the boxes.
Because there are no descriptions on the slide frames or boxes.. It would be a super help if anyone of you guys can ID where the towns and cities are ?

Here is a link to the new vienna slides.

                    Ian,

I would say the one in the front is a T-26 and the one in the back with the long skirt of armour is the three "turreted" T-28. IMHO.

Well, T-28 is in fact T-35. Photo of well known tanks abandoned on the road between Grodek (Gorodok) and Lvov (Lviv).
