                        Hi.

I have a group of award documents, letters, telegrams etc. that belonged to Maschinenobergefreiten Karl Herzberg. He served on U-470 (11. unterseebootsflottille). The u-boat sunk Oct. 16'th 1943 south-west of Iceland by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft.

I guess posting all the postcards he wrote/or got will be too much to ask for regarding help in understanding the writing. Here is the latest letter he wrote/or got. If anyone want to have a look at the other postcards/letters, please let me know and I will post them.

                        Thanks.

                        Best regards,
                        André

Here a translation of the text:

                          " 27.7.43

Here are two more postcards from the u-boat sailor. The only thing I manage to translate is: Liebe Eltern und Geschwister.

I have 3 more cards from this person.

                              Thanks.

                              Best regards,

                                Hello everyone,

Anyone for translation of these words on the back of a postcard? Front is a pic of a guard or so in front of hotel georges V in paris.

                                Thx!
