            Officer Name & Translation Please

I would appreciate if I could get the name of the officer in Photo 1 and a translation of this officer’s handwriting in photo 2. Many thanks in advance for any assistance!

A lot of the text is obscured, but hoping there is a location that is legible. Thanks.

Solorowska bei Pleskan is what I read for the location.

Thanks pauke! That seems right, but searches do not find such a location. It sounds Polish, maybe?

Above the location is written "... Wald" and if you could ease off some of the black paper the name might be legible. I'm not good at eastern European names but others like Einzel seem to excel at that and show highly detailed maps.

Not sure about the exact name of the "S...wska" place, but I think it says "bei Pleskau". Pleskau is the German name for Pskow [Псков] in Northwestern Russia.
