        OK--so 3710 might be "HEISLER" "HEISTER" or "HEITLER."

        Anybody else have a read on this one?

            Not sure about the initial "H", could also be "F": Feisler, Feister???

              Trebes, I didn't think it was an F for the following reason. There is an F in Familie just before the surname. I think if it was an F he would write it the same way as in Familie.

                I need help with this one.

                          He's been briefed on consequences if he tries to counterfeit or fake marching [transfer] orders (which I assume soldiers were doing to get the heck away from the front).

                                Thanks very much also Hank,
                                he was originally an instructor at a flight school and was transfered to JG1 as fighter pilot in late 44.
                                I guess he didn't like the idea.
