          Good morning folks,

This one's of a Wiking man, I believe to be in the Cherkassy Pocket, based on the "Januar 1944" on the back, but I can't figure out the rest, any ideas?

          Many thanks in advance
          Harvey

I think that the last word is "Modena," which is a town in Italy where the photo may have been taken. But what is the first word? Thanks! --Kevin img595s.jpg
