2. Inscription on the reverse has a list of 13 names, all written in different hand. Somewhere on the East front 2 July 44. Any idea what is on the vehicle above the side skirts?

Hi,

The objects (there's one each side) are just large pieces of wood, which were often carried on vehicles to aid them negotiate tricky terrain.
