are you sure #1091 is a HG soldier? The collar tabs look rather yellow to me... Anything written on the back of the photo?

I wrote one and then accidently deleted it....I have been sick with the flu over the long weekend. I went to Germany on Sunday when I should have stayed home. I struggled into work late this morning so I apologize for not answering sooner.
Please check the photo in 1082 against 1087 and you will see a difference in shade of color...one being flak and one being flight....then check 1087 & 1101 against 1091 and you will again see a difference in 1091 which is much lighter as it should be. Some photos really show the difference depending on the background and lighting. Just my opinion but after almost 20 years of collecting pics...I'm still no expert.

you are right. Different backgrounds and lightings definitely contribute to differences in the appearance of the same color (I believe that - to complicate matters - even the the colors of the actual tabs used to be produced in different shades...).
Still (and hence) I think that, unfortunately, it is often impossible to say if they are HG or flight personnel if there is no piping, cuff title or any other hint (such as a definite white collar tab as in #1090 I have come a couple of portraits with really light tabs, but no one will be able to say definitely if they are HG or flight...
