Yes, I wrote to Siegfried Freyer and he agreed to sign some photos for me.
Normally, it is no longer accepting sign photos, but I was very lucky ...
In his letter, he explains that the war is long over, and it no longer wishes to speak.

On another sad news, Rudolf Opitz (DKiG) - Me 163 test pilot and kommandeur of II/JG 400, passed away on May 1st. He was 99. (Aug 9, 1910 - May 1, 2010)


In this photo, Major Wolfgang Späte (left) decorates Opitz (right) after his first flight on the Me 163B. Does anyone know who's the smiling RKT in the background?

You had some guts when you dare to fly this magnificient Me163.
