Here is todays arrival, seller sold it to me saying that it is the morning of the Crete jump. What are your thoughts ? There is also some writing on the back can anyone translate it ?

Wow! really hard to read but it certainly does not saying anything about Kreta and looks more like many other photos I have of FJ's waiting to do a training jump.

I would have to agree with W Petz. This looks like a training jump. FJ jumping on Crete would have a lot more equipment under the jump smocks and they would have life jackets with them. Look at the pictures you won on Ebay yesterday as a reference.

Here is a recent find on Ebay....the other one got away!!! FJ with knee pads, gloves, MP40 Pouches and special pockets (on both sides) added to his jump smock for flares.
