          March 19, 1944 the Allies attempting a surprise. An attack on back of Montecassino passing through the area of the farm Albaneta.
          The strength of the armored group was 15 tank <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Sherman</st1:City> of the 20th armored battalion (<st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">New Zealand</st1lace></st1:country-region>) and 12 light Stuart from 760th American armored battalion. Other 5 tanks of the same type (belonging to the reconnaissance squadron of the VII Indian brigade) and 3 self-propelled joined along the way.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

          Was a disaster.<o></o>
          Initially the paratroopers of the FJR.4 (14<SUP>th</SUP> Company) were astonished, but then responded fast and destroying all the enemy tanks. None of this tanks survived.
