Thank you Marco. Yes, so different from today. And yes, Cassino was very beautiful before WWII. The change is somber and saddening.

15.3.1944...allied bombers come back over Cassino. This time the target is not the Abey, but the city.

In 2 hours over 1.000 tons of bombs fall on Cassino...every german soldier present in the city received 4 tons of high explosive on his head...
