I fear he/she maybe the victim of the latter.

Even if this is just one of four examples he had, it could be described as priceless.

In todays TR market - USD250K for such a piece wouldnt qualify IMO.
The items such as the baton and the desk set are unique. As i understand it they only had one baton of this type. The Hitler EK is not unique, and does not have rock solid provenance.

Hermann Historica sold Hitlers golden party badge some years ago, it went for around 60k euro. I don't remember what provenance that followed the badge but the whole thing was a fake.

The barber Wollenhaupt from Berlins 'Kaiserhof' hotel was the man chosen by AH personally. He attended Wolfschanze on occasion, and oddly enough there was talk that he used tape to collect hair, but that letter is complete nonsense, and nothing to do with Wollenhaupt.

Wow - it's always amazing how forum threads often veer off into the known. From hitlers EK1 to psychic detectives in a few easy moves!

I'd recommend the book on hitlers death to you. It was printed a few years ago and contains the original transcripts of the bunker staff and nkvd staff involved.

In the pictures section it contains pictures of hitlers ek1 and old party badge, as well as a couple of his tunics and visors. (from memory. I have a copy at home somewhere).

Here's a link to amazons copy

          http://www.amazon.com/Hitlers-Death-...4933658&sr=1-2

It's also a good and accurate read for anyone not quote sure what happened to his remains after the war.
          Regards

            Ps

Forgot to add the pics of hitlers, Eva brown and the goebles' possessions in the book are shown in the context of war booty removed from the bunker as an aid to the identification of the remains found.

One was Ted Lenkel of Pallisades, New Jersey, and the other was an outfit called DISCO, in Wisconsin. Of course, neither could offer any 'provenance', and they were offered for years, so I can imagine all the Hitler Iron Crosses and wound badges in various collections.

Ted Lenkel also offered such wonderful collectibles as Himmler's eye glasses, Goebble's vest, Goering's bathroom rug and others too inane to mention.

I think Charlie Snyder bought up that collection when he heard there was a chance at Eva Braun's panties....

I don't remember learning about that in high school.....or the bombings of Hamburg and Dresden, or the executions of SS at Dachau. Ignorance is bliss so they say.

Me neither, but guess that's because the winners always decide the "truth" and what is to be written and told!

Perhaps it is because they were all considered legitimate actions of war at the time.
