    Wehrwolf Fahnennagel.

I got it from a WAF collector and it was one of my first Wehrwolf items.

I was the one that won the auction. I am waiting for it to show up and will provide better pics when it arrives. I love these badges!

          Congratulations!

PS: Here is another badge with another kind of markings, but from the same maker in Dessau (in Sachsen-Anhalt).

Wehrwolf "Schwarze Brigade" in Sachsen 1933!

Perhaps one of the most interesting chapters of the Wehrwolf history. In 1933 some Wehrwolf members, who were loyal to the National Socialists, founded an own group: The Schwarze Brigade. They still used the known Wehrwolf insignia, uniforms, flags etc. The only difference was, that they used swastika armbands and a cuff title with a skull and the lettering "Schwarze Brigade". The Brigade had c. 250-300 members and existed only 3 months in 1933.

PS: Here is a photomontage of the Schwarze Brigade. It shows a flag group of the Brigade and I added some photos with pieces from known collections. In the photo you can see, which insignia etc. were used by the "Schwarze Brigade".

The above badge came with a very early SA Gausturm tab for a member out of Hamburg. The tab dates to around '32-33. I can only assume that the original owner of the Wehrwolf pin went into the Hamburg SA sometime around '33.

                          Nice badge!

But what happened with it? Was it damaged during the transport?

No, he mentioned in the description that it had enamel damage. This is the difference between bad photos and good photos.

The arrows you are pointing at are my stand that the badge is sitting in for the photos. This is seen in the reflection on the badge.
