Now for a picture of the field uniform in wear. Note that helmets worn by PP Brln were originally brown and then they adopted a police blue helmet. I don't know if these were new helmets or the old helmets painted blue. The arm patch is just noticeable on the left sleeve of the NCO in front of the squad. The white helmeted guys in the bcakgroaund are Feuerwehr.

Great bunch of stuff! Funny timing for me since just a few minutes ago I finally restored a PPBln Einsatzhemd to its former glory with arm badge. It's been in a box for a couple of years and finally I got around to fixing it. So I come here and see references to both PPBln and a sewing machine
The picture of the guys all kitted out in full field gear is awesome. I don't think I've seen any similar picture. Although not the best quality you can see two things about the field uniform:
1. It is in the standard BGS style Einsatzanzug, complete with caped shoulders.
2. There seems to be quite a variety in terms of color. Probably from wash and wear, but perhaps just production variations.
Does anybody have one of these uniforms to examine? Although I have a pretty good collection of Polizei and BGS Einsatzanzug, I don't have one of the early Berlin types. I'm curious to learn more about it.

Gentlemen,
It just occurred to me that I forgot to post the overseas cap that came with the blue coveralls. The light blue pipping is interesting. All of my other PP Bln hats have dark blue pipping.

The uniform pictures that I promised. You will note that the colour of the uniform that the NCO is wearing in the picture is very close to the colour of this un-issued uniform. The new colour of these uniforms and the faded colour after washing and use reminds me of the Afrikacorps uniforms.
