While it may not be the best forum to address this issue considering that it is not British I can advise you to report the seller for non-performance if he ships not what you have won.
Further, if a seller spends more words on specifying terms and conditions rather than an actual item description I advise you to not to bid.

    Have a good weekend.

Thanks Luc. I should probably have posted this in a TR-ebay thread, but I couldnĀ“t find an appropriate one. You are completely right regarding the fact that some sellers spend to much time delegating the responsabilities of a sale, rather than promoting an item. I guess this is a lesson that can be applied to British items aswell..

A nice weekend to you too.

      Regards
      Jon Kjetil

postwar beret with added 1944 date

I was thinking the same, I know no examples of wartime berets by Beret Industries that show the double diamond.

There is also a black 1953 dated Beret Industries beret on ebay with the same daimond and stamp. The 1944 stamp is clearly added to this 50's beret

              Hi!

What would your opinion be on this one, price aside?

              http://cgi.ebay.com/British-WWII-sco...item255a761f4b

Can't see the patches very clearly, but what strikes me is the SD pattern. Wouldn't the correct SD be the Scottish one?

              Regards, Giorgos

Welbike anyone? Needs a bit of TLC.

Contacted the seller to advise he is not selling a Welbike, but a post WW2 Corgi. His reply is that it is not a Corgi, and it has been authenticated by the Imperial War Museum Sorry state of affairs at the IWM if this is true!

They probably jumped to conclusions like I did.

The paint looks really good, shame about the rest of it, some poor bugger is going to cop a pile of ****.

Staps are repro, and if I might say the worst I have ever seen. The liner is original, but not to the helmet. This type of liners is often seen on the Danish tankers helmets put together after the war.

DR helmet's dont have the crown pad, if it has a yellow blob it might be a good shell.

                              Could be !

Looks like a nice, early, light-weight shell (with ubiquitous dent). The liner and strap are rubbish. Interesting to see how much it fetches.

Early shells like this don't have yellow blobs in my experience.
