I have a bad feeling that this blouse is a converted 1949 pattern blouse. hence the pocket. Look at the lining to the internal pockets? Big colour difference. I think they they tried to make this look like a tailored wartime blouse, using pockets from wartime blouse.
Anyone else have the same feeling?

This was added to the Denison Smock eBay auction Simon asked about:
"Additional Information for the benefit of all. Hans Van Der Velden has kindly added information that he has officer records for the battle and cannot see the Lieutenant listed on those records. Hans is bidding for the jacket and is helping with records he has."
Hmmm. Very helpful but if you were considering bidding on this you wouldn't exactly say that he was for sure at Arnhem, infact you would say the opposite!
I also wouldn't want my name put on the auction either! As it happens...I know who this is...

Hi Ade,
Yes, he does have some wonderful gear!
You name it...he's got it!
I didn't know he had a Glider Pilots helmet but I know where a few are
A collector I sometimes keep in contact with down South has three of them in his own collection, all different
And a chap who goes along to the Birmingham fair has one that he bought from a junk shop a few years back for £40 - he told me at the last fair that it was worth about £250!!!! Hmmm... All I said after that was "Yes, that is about the price".
Thanks from Jack.
