Happy to see my favorite thread back up to the top and now with over 100,000 visits. Just got this nice 25" x 8" panoramic photo of about 100 DAK POWs in the mail today. Seeing all the various colors of tunics from sunbleached to olive is just great

Dak luft tan pith
Hi, this is my first luft pith, a Clemens Wagner made example, which was missing its eagle, which I have replaced. A salty used example, which fits in with my small dak/trop collection. I've also bought another Luft pith and I will post that one when it arrives.
Very good pic Tropenmilitaria, great to see all the shades of the uniforms.

Lastly the originally hand sewn insignia. People sometimes ask, why not machine sew it all? Surely that would be a more secure method?? Well, this has lasted quite nicely for the last 68 years...Comment
