    Just a minor point (or 2), he was mostly signals, including on Crete, then later Panzer Pioneer battalion Herman Goring, Then ARTILLERY regiment Herman Goering. I don't think he was Flak though, but I'm still trying to work out more answers, mainly thanks to Gerdan on the wehrpass forum.
    He was also on Sicily and at Salerno during the campaigns, and he got malaria.

        Thanks NCO for sharing the images of your Dak field caps, , as others have already said your faded 40 dated Halfer is just simply amazing ,, I wonder what the soutashe colour would have been ? ,,

                        Here is a unique group, a gift to Hauptfeldwebel Emil Kuhlmann who served in Africa in the 90th Light Africa Division put together by his comrades from his company early March 1945 on the eve of his return to Germany whilst on leave.
