      Hi Christopher,
Heres a montage of my luft water carrier, with multiple stamps. I've seen a couple of similar examples, but not one that is identical, or as well stamped as this one. my only fur tropen stamped item, I posted the base stamp a while back and in full in my collection.

        Jerry,

Nice item and great condition too. I recently saw a tropical canvas wasser container somewherez. I'll see if I can relocate it and post the pics.

        Mark and Paul,

Beautiful items! I am a true believer in field made items - especially "after November 1941 when most of the uniform stores were overrun in Cyrenaica during Operation Crusader, and the month of hard fighting necessitated widespread replacement of uniforms damaged or lost in battle." See Dal McGuirk's book "Rommel's Army in Africa", p. 139.

        Best Wishes,

        Christopher

              DAK Items

              Hello,
This is still one of my favorite threads. Here is a new addition from June and it is an early pith helmet made of wicker with early brass shields.

I will see what the SOS brings.

              Regards,
              Jody

Very nice Jody. I remember this one from KenN. I have to admit that I was tempted but had other priorities, which I'll show here soon.

Very nice collection of dak cloth christopher, especialy the cufftitles and of course the sv288 patch.
Very nice pith, Jody, who is the maker and date? I sold my nearly mint 1st pattern tan heer pith, and I have regretted it ever since.

What would a soldier be without sunburn in Africa?!

Well here is a small bottle of sonnenbrandöl! Especially issued for the German Wehrmacht.

p.s. sorry for the bad photo's.

Great items everyone. Will have a nice little grouping to post for you all in a few weeks and a stunning 2nd model jacket to boot. Gonna need a set of Heer straps for it but I do have some time. Matt

                            Need your opinion

                            Dear friends,

I would like to share with you some pictures of my new Luftwaffe Tropical Feldbluse bought recently in south of France.

This beautiful M41 feldbluse looks authentic to me. Made in Breslau (occupied Poland) as it is often done for tropical feldbluse (made out of Gemany) with typical tan cotton.

Just the breast eagle make me anxious. Frankly speaking, I don't have seen a lot of triangular eagles on tunics. Nevertheless, we can often see this kind of insignia on tropical caps or tropical shirts. I have search for triangular eagles on tropical tunics and I have found some few pictures.

My goal today, is to have your feed-back on this item, so please, do not hesitate to share with me your profesionalism.

                            Thanks in advance

                            Chris

Hi Chris, your tunic is an original. The eagle is also original but it belongs to a shirt and it looks that it has been replaced. From the pics, I can see marks from previous stitching in the two apper corners of your eagle.

Agree. Perhaps if you include and interior image of the eagle's sewing?
                                Nice large size.
