    inside my lufty trop tunic

    note it has the rear flap sown shut and has had a waist adjuster added. Sadly its missing its breast pocket flaps.

              Matt, that's one heck of a rare photo in posts 1787/88 below. Here's an entry from my 5./Pzr.Jgr. Verband 288 soldbuch. This chap was an unteroffizer while in North Afrika.

                That soldbuch would go perfectly with my photo I wish the photo was labeled with a date but unfortunately its not. Only one I have ever seen or had the opportunity to own or even see. Either was its a rare photo and a cool shot to boot! Thanks for the comment! Matt

                      some more trop stuff

                      I think the stamp is a repro, and one of the italian medals -the grey example- has a pit in his helmet (not shown), same as the one in the figueroa's trop headgear book, p58.

                              Beautiful FJ-Afrika display anniekaa. Im curious about that dienstglas case. I saw a similar one on ebay and it was described as a russian binocular case... Is it in fact wehrmach/luftwaffe ?
