Here's another view. This belt is not original but the camera and the canteen are.

            Medic Bottle

I believe this to be a German medics bottle but it has no markings, can anyone give me some more information, e,g, a date and why it has no markings.

            Many thanks

@ TheChef: This is a bottle of female helpers of the DRK before 1937, but do not ask me when this type was introduced (i find it in a manual of 1935 for example). No markings... i guess because there was no need then for doing so.

The bread bag strap is not to be attached at it.

              Regards!

Depending....who sell it, condition, etc etc....you can pay it 100€ or 150/200€...depending...unfortunately depending from the seller.....

This is one that imo I consider a very late example with rare tan bakelite cup?

                    Its currently at auction:

                      Another beginner question:

I'm assuming that some of the canteens have felt covers because felt has insulating properties.

                      Are there any other reasons?

                      Are there drawbacks to felt?

I went ahead and purchased a German WW2 canteen Complete with the tin cup.

I made the mistake of opening it and sniffing...

I hope that was 'only' tea or coffee that had been in there last...

I also have a WW2 British Canteen with a canvas cover. Haven't opened that one yet...and probably shouldn't either...

                          I've found this one recently.
                          I like this late type.

Nice one. Now you need to find nice, matcing steel AEM.A cup for it.

They stopped using felt later on? Do we know why?
