I have a question - have you guys ever encountered a coconut flask dated 1944? I've seen 41, 42, 43 or 45, but not a single from 44...

There are only canvas belts, metal accessories and marks of 1944.

Why is it so?
Germans stopped production of flasks on 43 and started it again on 45?
, whereas straps were manufactured constantly from 41 onwards?

Such type of belts, did only for coconut flasks.
These belts, are with markings till 1944.
Belts with markings of 1945 on a metal buckle, I didn't meet when.
Only markings of 1945 on a leather belt which puts on round a flask neck.

the factory may have been bombed and the production blocked

I went through my canteens today and have a list of parts they I will be needing to complete some of them. I also have a list of canteen cups I have that don't match any of my canteens. Would anyone mind if I list the cups here for other canteen collectors to see and contact me about to complete theirs?

I have to make a complete list of what I need but here are some cups I don't have the canteens for that I will be willing to swap for ones that I do etc.

SSL40, C&CW 40, G&CL 40, ESB 40, RFI 40, MKK39, RFI 39, MKK41, DMN 40 AEMA 39, G&CL 36, HRE 39, HRE 43 (steel missing one handle).

I am also looking for alluminum caps and hooks to repair a lot of my canteens that are missing them. I will post the bottles I have that need marked caps here in a latter post.
