The RBNR ink stamp is evidence that the Waffen-SS dot camo uniform was also manufactured by non SS Bekliedungswerk facilities.
Keep in mind that in the year 1944 when this uniform first made it's debut the SS clothing department needed to produce tens of thousands of this uniform. All the major SS fighting divisions were being supplied with this uniform. A perfect example would be the 12. SS-Hitlerjugend-Division which by June 1944 had almost 20,000 NCO's and enlisted men. Almost all of the panzergrenadier regiment was outfitted with a mixture of either the DOT camo uniform or a pullover smock.

Normandy France, Eterville sector, July 1944.
SS-Staf. Eduard Deisenhofer (Kommandeur of SS-Pz. Gren. Regt. 21 of the 10. SS-Panzer-Division "Frundsberg") inspects his men along the front line. Everyone pictured here with the exception of the man holding the K98 rifle are wearing the M44 DOT camo uniform.Attached Files

Here is an excellent study done by collector Adrian Stevenson on the Reichsbetriebsnummer RB numbering system. Well worth the time to study up on how the numbering system works. You'll never look at another RBNr. the same way again! http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/heer-l...system-239110/
