This helmet has been offered to another collector I was told recently.
So that made me even more pissed.
If you would inspect the part where the inscription is added, you will notice that there is no patina.
This will only be visible in direct sunlight (at least to me)
The inscription is very convincing IMHO.

Witt suppossedly wearing it around 1943/44 in a picture with
Sepp Dietrich and other officers, some weeks back.
(Note the WH-Eagle on the sleeve trying to immitate the
same look as on Witt's real coat)
I noticed, that the pockets on this coat were not at the same
height as the bottoms...
