The Bosanci poster and postcard shown here are fakes as Vince has already pointed out.

This one in my collection is an original albeit water damaged.

The printers details are there in amongst the water damage although they are not clearly seen from this smaller image.

I am looking to have this one restored and linen backed this year.

One of the rarest posters by Anton and of any of the SS posters still surviving.

Ok, I just wondered if you have seen other postcards? In this thread I have not seen, around the markets in Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, Austria, but I've never seen this postcard, have you seen any more ?? Greetings thanks

          Hi,

Mr. Weitze used recently the "this is old, so this must be real" line, which is everything but critical thinking... Never think like that, or quit collecting everything (including printed items that show "old" printing years - that can be so easily faked).

The SS-Hauptamt was very serious in his propaganda prints, and this fake postcard is well known. Just check the horribly badly printed colours... the raw cardboard...

Below another identical fake (note the fake stamp too).

It could be interesting to check if the cardboard used is UV reacting or not (it will not remove the fact that the postcard is fake).

Oh and yes, the poster is of course fake. The original seemed to be very elusive...

          See You

            Hi,

            pictures for the WAF archives.

They seemed to be or movie props, or bad reproductions taken from a museum.

            See You

These ones do not even need a closeup nor a UV test as they are poor fakes even with poor quality images.

The HJ/SS poster by Anton in particular stands out with poor colouring and it was never printed with a white border.

Contacting these so called experts has little impact IMO as they end up standing their ground and are offended that their non-existent expertise has been called into question.

Whoever paid that price for them thinking they were the real deal is in for an unpleasant surprise...

Did you happen to catch the banner in the top right hand corner...

                              "We're hiring experts!"

Clearly they are falling short in the knowledge / vetting department.

                                Hello Christian,

actually i think i already contacted this auctioneer in the past, and the stuff was removed.
But I can't pass hours contacting every single auction house...
This auction is so obviously marketed to fool the idiots that i can't let it run its course. The seller knows that he is selling a bogus modern poster... And he did his best to fool the Catawiki bidders.

                                See You
