It is easy to create a poster when you have an abundance of period photos to tweak in photoshop...

One of the more famous images taken at Kursk...

                Hi,

Millon (through Drouot live online) is proposing today January 17, 2017 three of the four posters drawed by Anton for the recruitment campaign of the HJ volunteers in the Waffen-SS, campaign who started in fall 1942 with postcards, booklets and flyers all over Germany.

The main result was the creation of the "Hitlerjugend" division, the "Crack Babies" from Normandy.

                Lot 408, 409 and 410.

                          Hi,

many very beautiful non-SS posters during the sale, very "cheap" final price (and a lot of unsold lot, i have the listing of the first 400 if you are interested by some posters that are maybe unsold), but the fees were a bit expensive.

                          408 : 800 + 30% = 1200 euros
                          409 : 1200 + 30% = 1560 euros
                          410 : 1600 + 30% = 2080 euros

                          @ wolfslair44 : you have a PM

                          See You

                            Hey Vince,

Thanks so much. I've sent a return PM.

Yes, fees were high, but the prices of the posters all-in-all were quite reasonable. The Anton Gerade Du! has been on the want list for a long time. I did not see it on HH when it sold, but I saw another in similar condition for sale that went for closer to $4K US a couple years ago.

                            Very best,
                            Scott

                              A rare find!

I cannot recall having seen another for sale so I snapped this one up while I had the chance...

                              Approx. 42cm x 58cm.

The original artwork (minus the text) is by Hans Schweitzer (Mjölnir), can be seen in the 'Deutsche Künstler und die SS' catalogue I believe.
