Nope. I never said or implied that any discrimination was ok. I did say, directly, that there is a difference between discrimination and extermination. Both are wrongs, but I think the difference, and the consequences, of the two are apparent.

    your logic is flawed

and anyhow i didnt think there were different degrees of discrimination...it just IS.

      LEMMY docuentary

If you collect..... and have a wife or girlfriend that likes rock 'n roll, , you must have a "date night" and take her to see the new documentary "Lemmy"!

I did last night, and now my wife better understands me! It was a great manuever on my part, and I suggest you do the same.

      Jp

p.s. besides all that, it was an excellent and fascinating film.

can't believe 11,000 hits on this, especially considering the worse level morons, slobs, and nuts seen at any show

seems to be from many not liking his music more than anything else

give it a rest, especially those who hide in a closet about what they collect...........

          Ss

I used to wear a second class iron cross on my leather jacket . I did it because it looked cool and i was 19 at the time . I really would see more shame in wearing it now because a german soldier earned it with his blood and the blood of his enemies , not because it has some reference to what happened to jewish people in the war . Btw there are companies here in the u.s. That produce cuban rebel and castro tee shirts and how about the stalin tee shirts one can buy in the mall , as i recall stalin killed many more innocent jewish masses than hitler , so why is there no war cry over that ? Political correctness is like a cancer that has spread all over the world . In the effort not to offend other we are going to eventualy loose our freedom to choose what we want to do and wear . It is sad

funny. I was reading about Lemmy on another website and a quick secondary search brought me to our wonderful forum. haha. I was reading some article about the douchebag from the band Disturbed who was crying like a little baby about Lemmys collection. People need to get off there high horses and realize that we collect and preserve pieces of history. And what Lemmy states in the article is true .....all the "so called evil" people of history had the best uniforms and styles. To call a collector a Nazi is a slap in the face to our hobby IMO. Is it wrong that Lemmy rocks an iron cross on hsi neck? maybe. But the iron cross has been worn by surfers, bikers, and many others since the war. But look at the guy from Disturbed with his ridiculous 2 gauge hole through his lip and a huge earing hanging off it. Some people could call him names too. Bottom line IMO is people should learn to respect what we are doing, and keep history alive. Its sad that our hobby is considered taboo to the public and these types of articles dont help it at all

                Ha Ha!
I don't know what thread you are reading but the general worldwide consensus(to those concerned) is that Motorhead IS and always will be a great and important band in the realm of rock and roll.
So I respectfully suggest that You give it a rest.
Lemmy collects Nazi stuff. So what? Some people here need to relax and enjoy their stuff and try not being so damn judgemental.

The point of this thread is that collesting TR (and SS) material should be o.k. to talk about in public, not taboo. Geezuz christ.

                Jp
p.s. I suggest you culturally educate yourself and see the film.

                    12,001 !!!

o.k., o.k. maybe it should be on another forum on WAF, but it is relevant here as well.
It's about collecting and the "Societal taboos" associated with SS collecting.

                                http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Draiman

"He has many relatives who live in Israel, including his brother Ben Draiman whose musical style is more folk rock and ambient and who performs in Jerusalem, as well as his grandmother.[2][3][4] Draiman has expressed dissatisfaction with those rock musicians who collect Nazi memorabilia saying, "I don't give a **** who you are. If you're going to brandish Nazi symbolism, I'm going to have a problem with you because I don't understand how anybody could think it's OK to wear something on their body that symbolizes the annihilation and genocide of my people. I'm not OK with that and there is no excuse and there is no explanation".

                                **yawn**

I think Draiman needs to read that classic self help book "I'm OK - you're OK :P
