It would be bad enough to make up stories about outlaw relatives.... but this garb can get you in trouble with the wife.

You and Kreig777 are cool guys, IMO.
I guess on this one, we all have to agree to disagree.
Cheers,

Anyway, if that girl had a different face, she might be sexy.

SS collecting and Lemmy
Well, let's see. The title to this forum says, Dedicated to all SS cloth and insignia collecting. So Lemmy is a collector wearing SS clothing and insignia in the news. So IMO, it can be listed in this forum. I have found this thread a great read so far. And the pictures of Brian Jones and John Lennon are something that I would not of even known about. Please keep adding more pictures of people wearing their SS uniforms and insignia. Once in the late sixties, a group of La Jolla surfers from Wind and Sea, stole some SS uniforms from a movie set. They rode their skate boards and bikes in the Christmas parade in full uniforms and made the front page of the local paper. I will try to find the pictures and have them posted if I can. Smitty.

That clip was from the opening sequence from the movie "Riding Giants"
Here; (min. 6:20-8:20 of clip) in it narrator states that "Some guy's father came back from the war and had a closet full of Nazi stuff"...);

I grew up about 8 miles from that place in La Jolla(and was even there at the time).
Sorry guys if you have seen this before. But if you haven't, get ready to blow yer minds!!!!!

Wind n sea SS flexie flyers
Thank you John, that is what I was talking about. Mac passed away a couple of years ago. He used to drink at the VFW in North Pacific beach. I grew up, and still live in north P.B. This story is still told at the Lattitude 32 pub in P.B. at least once a month. When I come into the pub, my friends that remember these great surfers, always give me a kind of salute and yell, Was Los Ist? Thanks for sharing, Smitty

Hmmm....
I really don't care what he wears. I think most people would, however, take exception to his and your claim that that the Nazis were no worse than Americans, British, French, Candadians___________(fill in the blank) and, of course, any of their victims.
Dave, get serious for a moment. Re-read your comments below. Yes, disrimination against African Americans was widespeard before and during World War II, but were blacks in the US being taken to concentration camps? Were the Blacks in the US being exterminated by the milions? Was the nation's leader threatening their wholesale murder? Was it proclaimed US policy to exterminate them? Why, Dave, did Afirican Americans very wholeheartedly serve in their nation's armed forces and war effort when war came? Why Dave, did so may make it crystal clear, at that time and afterward, that while their nation did not always live up to its promise, they had no desire to see a Nazi victory. Ya think it might have been because, in America, African Americans had a Constitution and a Bill or Rights to base their struggle on. What, exactly, would they have had under the Nazi's?
Yes, Dave, I am sure that, during the 36 Olympics Owens could stay at the same German hotels and go to the same restaurants as his white team mates. So could Jews on various Olympic teams. Remember that the Nazis put on their nice face during the games. The anti-semitic and rascist signs, slogans and other goodies came down.....until the games were over and the teams gone.

have you guys read Lemmy's auto bio "white Line Fever"? he talks about his TR collecting in it.
he also makes some interesting comments about todays PC world when it comes to attitudes towards TR stuff.
One very interesting point Lemmy brings up about PC people who get on their high horses about wear nazi gear is the thin ice they stand on when pointing the finger at nazi racism.
the same time the nazis were doing their thing in the USA blacks were being discriminated against full-on.
so who's the nazi now
Lemmy also says that when black american Jessie Owens won the gold in the Berlin Olympics he got a better reception from Hitler than he did from the white folks back home...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Owens
"Owens was cheered enthusiastically by 110,000 people in Berlin's Olympic Stadium; on the street, Germans sought his autograph. Owens was allowed to travel with and stay in the same hotels as whites, while at the time blacks in many parts of the United States were denied equal rights. After a New York City ticker-tape parade of Fifth Avenue in his honor, Owens had to ride the freight elevator at the Waldorf-Astoria to reach the reception honoring him."
"Owens said, "Hitler didn't snub me—it was FDR who snubbed me. The president didn't even send me a telegram."[13] Jesse Owens was never invited to the White House nor bestowed honors by presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) or his successor Harry S. Truman during their terms."
