I can imagine they had this type.
There are fakes of the other bevo lufteagle,I wanted to know if this type is faked too,but we need a genuine one to compare.
Anyone has a genuine of these ?

    Jos.

Thought I had one of these, but I can't find it. I do have the 2nd style of eagle in this BEVO pattern, and the construction looks the same. Have never seen one on a uniform. But, as John mentioned, the eagle looks alright.

Was even thinking about taking a hammer to my camera.. Will have to chat with John at the Max about a better quality camera...or lighting.

        Luft Adler -- good?

What about this example? It doesn't seem to match exactly any of the ones on this thread. Good?

          Hello George,

As Willi would say, "I have concerns." However, I'm unfamiliar with style. The basic design looks pretty good but I'm troubled by the reverse and also the space between the shoulder and wing. Perhaps others will have better input.

          Regards,
          John

            Hi George, John,

I have more than "concerns" on this one. Sorry, but I don't like it. The wool, the eagle details and the construction of the eagle on the back all display problems.

              Okay

Good enough. Into the "fakes" case it goes!

                  cut from a flying blouse

Perry and I went to the set up for the Raleigh Show today and I snagged this little beauty along with a brown P.38 hardshell holster. The stitching isn't the usual zig zag pattern, so I thought it interesting. Jos knows my passion for eagles with part of the uniform remaining so it's likely I'll get called sissors hands again.

                    reverse

Here is the back, the partial curve lining, with the corresponding curved stitch through the eagles wing on the front, defines it as cut from a blouse. There is another "obvious blouse" feature, anyone? Other than Willi

Bill Shea bought a large collection of cut insignia, including some incredible Waffen SS items. Among the SS insignia were cut collars with tabs, several cuff titles, sleeve portions (wool and camo) with eagles, M-43 cap front with eagle and skull, etc.. Most all pieces were sold before they made it to his site.

Here is a flying blouse eagle that was part of the collection.
