      I'm with John on this. Flat wires are original, but I too have not seen a photo of them on a tunic.

      Steve, was the flight suit eagle on a tan mottled pattern of fabric?

            YES, because I have been looking for years.
            I do not have one of these in my collection for this reason. Need a photo so I can add the eagle

            If anyone can find a period photo of one of these, you can.

            And I'm waiting for you and Uncle F. to do a thread on the white jackets Imagine just having an eagle from one of those!

                          Works for me! Willi, better start looking for reasonable tickets.

                          Too many years ago to tell, I had a Leutnant's flying blouse with the other style Bevo eagle in flatwire, original to it. I think these bevo eagles were used a lot on flying blouses.
