How common was it to have an ordnance tan mortar bipod repainted to feldgrau dunkel (RAAL 6006)? I can't tell if this paint is original or not. The base layer is definitely ordnance tan, however the green/gray is not the same as the Norwegian or Czech color I have seen used. Unless someone can definitively tell me this is a Norwegian color, I would say my bipod is an ordnance tan repaint. I can't find a year but my guess is 1941. The maker is "gdd."

new (round) Mortar base plate for 8cm Gr.W.34 and 34/1
Hey folks…
for some Mortar collector are interesting is this base plate for 8cm Gr.W.34 and
8cm Gr.W.34/1.
Some people say that this base plate is the “last ditch production” or “Endsieg Fertigung” Variant, because of the bad situation in German defense Industry 1944/45.
In fact, the new (round) base plate is a complete redesign, much more complex and lightweight than the old (square) baseplate. But more important is the function of the new (rounds) base plate, it can shoot off with 6 and 7 additional charge, which is prohibited with the old (square) base plate!

I got two of these rare pieces, the piece at the photos is for sale.

Hope this helps:
Btw; Very nice mortar, whatthecrunchyo. Nice contribution. The color on the bipod look quite nice, even if it has been overpainted
(Sorry for the slow reply, but I have been busy building a new house on my spare time. I have not had any time to spend on the internet and forums lately)
Best Regards
