Carrying hooks on legs of Zweibein

Hi Maarten,
I have just now come to understand that the Tragehaken (carrying hooks) on the legs of the Zweibein are for use when attaching the Zweibein onto the Tragevorrichtung for transport. What I do not understand is what they hook onto? Do they attach directly to the clips at the ends of the shoulder straps?
I have looked at wartime photos for this information but they do not reveal such fine detail. Perhaps you could kindly explain how these Tragehaken attach to the Tragevorrichtung.

The hooks of the tragevorrichtung attach directly to the rings on the legs of the bipod. The bottom strap goes around the legs and the upper strap goes around the bipod near the mittelstück.

Thanks Maarten! I guess so yes, though I can't find a date on mine either, it must be dated on the side of the box.

I know the Germans used a lot of different boxes to store their grenades, that weren't meant to be used for those grenades in the first place.

I think 2 types of ammo boxes for the 8cm mortar exist, this one in wood and
a full metal box in tan yellow or feldgrau green, I don't have that one yet.

There were more types that is for sure. I have 5 different now.
I have also seen those 12 round 3,7pak containers that were reused to carry 8cm mortar rounds.

And I have found a original cleaning rod, or "Rohrwischer" for the Granatwerfer.
It was in good condition, but covered in rust when I got it.
I hope that the purists here will forgive me for restoring it for future preservation and generations, and repainting it with correct and documented field-grey colour.

As you can see, the cleaning rod is semi-collapsible, for easier transport. The "head" of the cleaning rod has a stiff brush, as well as a soot scrape.















Here, I have tried to document the remnants of original red primer, and field-grey/green paint that it was originally painted with:

thanks alot for the link , but a little bit pricey, I am loking for something in the range 0f 250-300 usd.... one without the box, some paint loss.....
