There are photos of the observer badge in wear, like this one from Graf Spee, the casket contains the body of Captain Langsdorff. John

That officer is Detlev Spiering. Later killed as a LW bomber pilot off Italy in 1943. The pilot in Graf Spee was killed during the Dec. battle off Uruguay.

So in this case, he stayed in the KM, battleships, escaped from Argentina, went into the LW as a pilot.

Those are great photos, especially the ones showing the yellow thread poking through where the "metal" has worn off.

Admiral graf spee

What this is is part of a souvenir pillow case with the ship side of that pillowcase, I am assuming, cut out and framed.

I am assuming it is not the entire pillowcase in there.

Fairly priced by the way.

Tally Panzerschiff Admiral Graf Spee

Hi, I have this one for some time, before I part with it I want to show it here. IMO a perfect original one, made from metal wire. Length is 110 cm.
