Some of my Schwerin summer birds. One of the best designs IMO. Please note that not all specimens are marked in the same location or even have a maker's mark but the look is very unique
The body shape is more like a wild turkey than an eagle...
The latest development in the story of this "wild turkey" type suggests it is likely original after all and is found in period photographs in the update of the above linked thread.
The problem is that Reddick militaria sells an excellent reproduction based upon this type.

Just posted this one in a separate thread as well. Got it today from a friend who has found it in an attic, along with a KM-coastal uniform grouping and a few other bits and pieces.
Weird looking bird, especially the swastika, but no doubt about its originality, has not seen daylight since November 1944!
Next...Nothing special but I'm happy to have found and share this silver J. C. Maedicke eagle variant with "spear head" brest feathers and massive pin which has eluded me until now and completes my Maedicke set. Below is the whole family: at left the "spear head" gold and silver summer eagles and at right the "diamond shaped" breast feather variants with the flimsier aluminum "wrap around" pin which I beleive to be the earlier variant by this maker.
