Am enjoying this thread, here are a few more examples I've found over the years.

    Cheers Erwin.

I couldn't resist this one. One of the nicest tunic-removed officer's bullion breast eagles I've seen in a while.

                Best regards,

Probably a good idea to document that the type of eagle seen in posts 56, 96 (3rd from the top on the left), 118 and 146 are all the same type of fake described by Fred Green here:
                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...19#post5450719

The body shape is more like a wild turkey than an eagle...

                    Best regards,
                    ---Norm

                      Thanks for the insight Norm

If you're opening the (hunting) season on these "wild turkey fakes" (I always tought it looked like Big Bird with long wings myself but I can live with "wild turkey" ) then maybe you should include the one I posted in post 79.

I reposted it here (smaller version) to save some back & forth. Note the same body, legs and wings, same wreath etc. except its enhanced in black thread with a gold wire strip above the wings which changes the "look" but its basically the same bird as the others IMO...

                      Regards

                      JC

This is an eagle that is published in "Sport and the Third Reich" by Rob Newbrough.
It is believed that this style would have been worn upon the athletic training suit pullover blouse.

The one odd thing on this eagle is the upper extra wide feather in the row of four. Whereas most other Bevo Eagles usually have a row of five feathers.
If anyone has seen this before please let me know.

                                Hello Sal R.,

That is a very nice original BeVo KM enlisted man's breast eagle with a weaving flaw! Every once in a while the machine made flaws in these BeVo eagles. I just saw an example in a Heer eagle on another forum. Great to find these and it makes collecting these eagles even more fun.
